Teachers want to move forward with technology but are reluctant to learn for various reasons. With the new TI-Nspire software and accompanying handheld, teachers can now easily integrate technology into their daily lessons based on state standards aligned with the textbooks they are using.  The TI-Nspire is not like any other graphing technology.  Teachers can create documents with the compatible Teacher Edition software and teachers have the tools that allow students to explore investigate and discover math concepts that are real and meaningful to math and science learning with full robust assessment tools. With TI-Nspire Navigator teachers can engage monitor and evaluate their students using many different learning styles to get the students excited about math and science. The TI-Nspire Navigator takes the math graphing technology that may be already in the schools and creates an interactive response system with a complete assessment package that cannot be matched by the traditional clicker response systems. With many free resources available teachers can access up to date lessons for many courses and for specific outcomes based on textbook and state standards.  This introductory session will be a small piece of the “pi” that will entice you to attend the workshop tomorrow to get a more detailed overview of the TI-Nspire and the accompanying products and services that will best suit your district needs.
