Dr. Chris A. Heidelberg III will provide an interactive, upbeat and informative presentation that will define edutainment and convergence, the guiding principles behind edutainment and convergence, and how edutainment and convergence has already transformed learning, business and the global village. At the end of the presentation, participants will be able to:
•provide a definition of edutainment and convergence to anyone and provide concrete examples;
•will know the historical context behind edutainment and convergence;
•will be able to identify the guiding principles of edutainment and convergence;
•will be able to engage in the implementation of an edutainment and convergence approach at the micro-level and the macro-level;
•will understand the importance of the learner-educator-researcher-trainer collaborative continuum in the learning process;
• will understand the power of interactivity and entertainment techniques as part of the learning production process, and
•will learn and demonstrate at least three ways to utilize and understand convergence tools and devices in the classroom and outside of the classroom for learners as part of the collaboration process.
